As a Principal Safety Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects allowing you to further develop your expertise and knowledge for progression.

 

Day-to-day, as a Principal Safety Engineer, you’ll support and enhance our customers’ defence and security capabilities and critical assets, meeting their requirements of value for money, increased availability, modernisation and flexibility.

Compétences requises - (publication d'offre):

Essential experience of the Principal Safety Engineer

  • Have been involved in the systems safety assessment and assurance of complex systems.
  • Applied various safety tools and techniques including assessment.
  • Experience of managing safety programs across the product lifecycle working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstration of producing and reviewing product safety management plans.


Qualifications for the Principal Safety Engineer 

  • Hold a degree in a STEM subject or have relevant engineering experience. Other qualifications, combined with experience, may also be considered.
  • Hold membership of a registered professional body.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

Vos responsabilités - (publication d'offre):

  • Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills, applying knowledge and experience.
  • Be familiar with safety management systems and risk analysis tools.
  • Implement Engineering safety management plans.
  • Convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and create Safety Cases, Safety Requirements, Hazard Identification and Analysis, including application of the ALARP principle and legislative awareness.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides flexible hybrid working arrangements with working days onsite and working days working from home. The role also requires the candidate to travel across other UK sites when the project demands.
